Tank Greatsword / Mace + Shield

The defensive anchor of any group. Templars hold aggro, mitigate damage with shields and block stacking, and punish attackers with counter damage. In PvP they lock down targets with pulls and stuns.

Guide direction is calibrated for AION 2 Global launch (client v110 era) and updated as the meta settles. Cross-checked against KR/TW community builds ahead of the Global patch curve.

PvE Raid Tank

Stat priority: HP > Block > Parry Reduction > Aggro > Attack

Stack defensive Soul Imprints that roll into Block and Parry Damage Reduction. Weapon damage matters less than survivability uptime; aggro stats keep bosses glued while DPS races enrage timers.

Stat priority: HP > CC Resistance > Critical Defense > Attack

Punishment/immortal builds focus on staying alive through focus fire and dragging enemies out of position with pull skills.
